Chief Trevino was born and raised in San Juan, Texas, and is a proud graduate of P.S.J.A. High
School, Class of 1998. He went on to earn a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice and a
Master’s Degree in Public Administration. Chief Trevino is also a graduate of UTRGV’s
Certified Public Manager Program.
With more than 23 years of law enforcement experience, Chief Trevino has served in a variety of
roles and ranks, consistently demonstrating strong leadership and dedication to public service.
His commitment to excellence is reflected in his receipt of the prestigious FBI-LEEDA Trilogy
Award for outstanding leadership. Chief Trevino proudly serves as the South Texas Police
Chief’s Association President.
In 2022, Chief Trevino was appointed Chief of Police for the City of Palmview. His vision is
clear: to deliver the highest standard of public safety through collaboration, education, and
positive engagement with the community. He is especially dedicated to supporting victims of
crime, with a strong focus on protecting and assisting those affected by domestic violence.
